For three generations, Northwest has worked to ensure the highest level of customer confidence in our products and in our people. Our commitment to sustainable business and manufacturing practices span the entire life cycle of our carpet. Toward that end, we’ve partnered with some of the most innovative no-waste/low-waste companies in the industry to establish cleaner, more efficient business and manufacturing processes.
Our efforts include the use of ISO-certified yarn and recyclable fabrics; on-site energy generation and reclaimed water for fiber processing; monitored disposal of all recyclables from product packaging to employee drink containers; zero-waste marketing/sales practices; the use of recycled paper in our marketing materials; and partnerships with like-minded suppliers.
Northwest products are LEED™ qualified and CRI Green Label certified to meet building, construction site and indoor air quality specifications for green development projects.
Additionally, we’ve partnered with Tricycle, Inc. - creators of Tryk™ accurate, sustainable paper sampling - to launch Studio N, our online design tool that allows designers to explore the early rounds of pattern and color with simulations instead of physical samples. Studio N has given our customers a faster, easier way to make design decisions while enabling our company to divert carpet from landfill and significantly reduce oil consumption.
We’re committed to always seek new understanding. We strive to implement new ideas. We continually cultivate partnerships with companies that share our values and objectives - partnerships that will grow with us as we continue to find new ways to optimize process efficiency and eliminate waste.
This is the way forward… a step at a time.
